NOTE: The military has access to high school students because of the federal No Child Left Behind Act of 2001. Schools receiving federal funds must give the military the same access that college and career counselors have or risk losing their federal money. Unless parents specifically request otherwise, schools must give the military personal contact information, addresses and telephone numbers, for their students.
The U.S. Navy places a high value on
education, and will pay for you to advance yours while
on active duty and even after you leave the Navy.
Through the "Montgomery GI Bill"
enlistees, with high school or equivalency diplomas, can
receive college funds.
College tuition funds are available
to active duty personnel pursuing educational goals on
their off-duty time.
